Past President of the Law Society of New Brunswick (2002-2003), he is also Past-Chair of the Law Society Standards Committee, Past-President of the Moncton Area Lawyers' Association, Past-President of the New Brunswick Sailing Association, Council Member of the Law Society of New Brunswick (1979-81, 1987-90, 1992-94). He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, and has served on the Law Society P.P.S.A. Implementation Committee, Course Leader for the Real Property Law Bar Admissions Course and Lecturer for CBA Continuing Legal Education programs. He has represented New Brunswick on the Board of Directors of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada.
